What are Course pages?

Each course you create or join has its own page. These pages show all of the information and items you have saved for that class. There is a task list for assignments and tests, file uploads (unlimited storage), and sections to add quick notes and links.

Also, at the bottom of each course page is a unique email address so that you can email or text message assignments, tests, and links directly to your course page.

How do I add an assignment?

It's easy to add assignments to GradeMate: use the form at the top of the course page to enter the title, choose the assignment type, and choose a date from the drop-down calendar. That's it! You can also add assignments by emailing or text messaging them directly to the course.

How do I edit an assignment in a course page?

To edit an assignment click the pencil icon. That will bring up the editor. You can then change the title, date or assignment type. Click 'Edit Assignment' to save your changes.

What do the checkboxes and trash can mean?

To complete an assignment click the checkbox to the left. It will then show up in your completed assignments list. To mark an assignment as unfinished, uncheck the box next to the assignment name.

The trash can icon will remove the assignment from your assignments list. However, it will not delete it. If you've removed an assignment this way, you can still access it by going to your Grades page for that course.

If you've created the assignment for one of your courses, you also click the small delete button to the right of the assignment name to permanently remove the assignment.

How do I add files to the course page?

You can add files to any course you've created or joined by clicking 'Add file' in the Files section of the course page. Simply browse the file and click the submit button to add it to the course.

You can delete files from your course page by clicking the trash can icon to the left of the filename.

How can I add notes and links?

You can add notes and links by first clicking the 'Add note' or 'Add link' button. You will then have a form to add your note or link to the course page. Clicking the save button will save that item to the course page.

To remove a note or a link click the trash can icon to the left of the item name.

What is a course email address and what do I do with it?

Each course is provided with a unique email address that you can send emails or text messages to from your mobile phone. Simply include the assignment title and an optional due date and after you send it, the item is immediately added to your course page.
