How can I change my time zone in GradeMate?
You can change your time zone by going to your Account Settings page and navigating to the time zones panel. There you can select the time zone from the drop down and click 'Save Changes' to save it.
Why do you keep my time zone saved?
We require that you save your time zone with us because we display due dates and times for everything in relation to your time zone. When you add or view an assignment or anything time related in GradeMate we adjust the time to where you are.
All of my dates and times seem to be off by an hour. What gives?
When you sign up with GradeMate we automatically take your time zone from your local browser settings. This compensates for daylight savings. So, you live in Easter Standard Time (UTC -5) and you create your account during daylight savings time GradeMate records it as UTC -4. So, when daylight savings is over, all times will be off by an hour. If you notice this or if its a problem, simply change it back to whichever time zone you want in your Account Settings page.
